Thanks Card: Varied Vases & Balmy Blue

I spotted a gorgeous box on Pinterest by Kerry Timms at Simply Pretty, so I thought I'd CASE with a twist and make a card. I loved the way Kerry used the Lovely Floral embossing folder to create texture behind the stitched circle, but unfortunately I don't own that, so I had to think outside the box! I decided to use the Leaf punch on some vellum cardstock instead, and I love the way it turned out.

I've used the Varied Vases stamp set, Vases Builder, Leaf and Classic Label punches, Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, Basic Gray ink pad, Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White card, and Vellum card.

Hello Card: Share What You Love & Varied Vases - GDP#143

This week's Global Design Project theme challenge is to celebrate why we love crafting. I get so much joy and satisfaction from being creative, and even more so when I can share my creativity with others - so card making is perfect for me! I love to send unexpected cards, just to say hello, or thank you. Today's card will be one of those. Making it made me smile, and hopefully it will make the recipient smile too :)

I've used the Share What You Love papers, the Varied Vases stamp set and co-ordinating Vases builder punch, Grapefruit Grove card and ink, Whisper White card, Memento Black ink, Classic Label punch, Stitched Shapes framelits dies. The sequins are from the Metallics Sequin assortment  and the thin white twine is from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit. I used a blender pen to pick up some of the Grapefruit Grove ink from the ink pad and colour the centre of the flowers.

If you're based in the UK I'd love to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Click on the images below to visit my online store, or email me at scrappingmojodesigns@gmail.com.

Little Elephant Thank You Card - GDP #142

I'm playing along with Global Design Project #142, which is a sketch challenge. I know I've said it before, but I do love the GDP challenges to kick start my creativity! I had a Stampin' Up! delivery earlier in the week, and managed to find some time today to sort everything out, which turned into a much bigger job when I decided to organise all my cardstock! I've now got each colour in a separately labelled plastic sleeve, all stored in hanging files, so it will be much easier to find the colour I want from now on. The trouble was, that took me so long that I only left myself with a little bit of time to play with my new goodies - so the sketch challenge was perfect!

I've used a new stamp set, Little Elephant, and the matching Elephant Builder punch. I don't normally go for the cute stamp sets, so I really surprised myself by liking this one, but I loved it enough for it to be part of my first order from the new catalogue! I've paired it with the new colour papers, which I think will be really useful - this one is Smoky Slate from the Neutrals collection. I've also used two new colours, Highland Heather and Balmy Blue. I can see myself using Highland Heather a lot, I love a good purple!

I've also used Smoky Slate and Memento Black ink, Pick a Pattern washi tape, Stiched Shapes and Layering Circles Thinlets dies, Classic Label punch and Whisper White card.

I hope you like today's project! If you're thinking of ordering in June, don't forget to use the online code below. I've also still got some annual catalogues, so let me know if you're in the UK and you'd like one.

GDP #141 Oh So Eclectic Card

I'm playing along with the Global Design Project again today! This week it's a colour challenge, and the colours are Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry. As they're all quite strong colours I thought a simple card would work best. I got the inspiration for this card from a fellow demonstrator on Facebook, unfortunately I don't remember her name and now I can't find the post - so if it was you, thank you!

I used the Waterfront and Oh So Eclectic stamp sets, Eclectic Layers thinlits dies, Classic Label Punch, Real Red Solid Ribbon, Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pad, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White card, Vellum card, Share What You Love Artisan Pearls, Classic Label and Scalloped Circle punches and Memento black ink.

If you'd like to see how I made this card look out for my next blog post as I'll be sharing a video of the process.

Stampin' Up! 2018-19 In Colours

One of the things that I love most about a new annual catalogue is having a new set of In Colours to play with. This year's are fabulous, they're a lovely bright set that make me feel happy! I had a quick play with them today and created some small, simple cards to showcase the colours. I've used one on each card: Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch

Here's a closer look at each of the colours:

Blueberry Bushel

Call Me Clover

Grapefruit Grove

Lovely Lipstick

Pineapple Punch

Have you got your copy of the new catalogue yet? Let me know if you'd like one - drop me an email at scrappingmojodesigns@gmail.com, or send me a message at facebook.com/scrappingmojodesigns and I'll get one sorted for you :)
