Amazing You Thank You Card - Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration 2018

We're into the final week of Sale-a-bration, so I thought I'd share one more project using my favourite set from this year's offering; the Amazing You stamp set. This card is smaller than normal, A7 size, which is roughly 3x4". I love making smaller cards, I think they're a really sweet way of sending a quick note to someone.

I kept this card simple, stamping the floral image from the stamp set three times in Smoky Slate along the edge of a piece of white card, cut slightly smaller than the card front. I mounted the white card onto a piece of Smoky Slate card and adhered it to the card front. I then cut the 'YOU' from Smoky Slate card using the Celebrate You die set, which co-ordinates with the Amazing You stamp set, and adhered it in the bottom corner. Finally, I used the Labeller Alphabet stamp set to stamp 'thank' on a piece of spare white card, which I then cut out and adhered to the card above the 'YOU'.

I hope you like this project! As always, if you're in the UK and would like to order from Stampin' Up! I'd love to be your demonstrator! Amazing You Card in Dapper Denim

I am so in love with the little flower stamp from the Amazing You stamp set! I can't decide if I prefer the Peekaboo Peach version of this card, or today's version in Dapper Denim - what do you think?

The only thing I'm not keen on with this version is that I didn't manage to get the watercolour paper to lie completely flat when I was adhering it to the background card, and I've managed to leave a big air bubble right in the middle! I've read a tip about running watercolour paper through a Big Shot or similar to flatten it out after it's been wet and dried, so I might give that a go next time.

I have no doubt that I'll be sharing more using these stamps and dies, I can't get enough of them at the moment! As always, if you're based in the UK and you're looking for a demonstrator to shop with, do get in touch - scrappingmojodesigns@gmail.com. Mothers' Day Card #GDP128

Like many other papercrafters across the UK this week, I made my Mum a Mothers' Day card, which I couldn't share until now as she reads my blog (Hi Mum!). I based the design on this week's Global Design Project, which was a gorgeous card created by Steffi Helmschrott. The idea is to take inspiration from as much of Steffi's creation as you want, and then make a card that's your own. I took the gorgeous floral cluster in the bottom right of Steffi's card and worked with that. I've used the Naturally Eclectic Suite to create a cluster over a Brusho Watercolour background. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, and I think Mum liked it too!

I was absolutely thrilled last week when I looked at the blogpost for the winners of #GDP127 and there was my little card! Thanks so much guys! I love taking part in the challenges, I think they're great for inspiration, and it feels great to be one of the winners :)

As always, if you're in the UK you can purchase everything that I've used to make this card in my online store :)

You're Simply Amazing #GDP127

This week's challenge over at Global Design Project celebrates Stampin' Up's amazing Sale-a-bration promotion. I decided to use the Amazing You Stamp Set and the Celebrate You Thinlets Dies to make this card. I started by embossing the gorgeous floral image from the stamp set onto watercolour paper, and then added colour using the yellow and gamboge Brusho colours. I decided to keep it simple and just added a stamped and die cut greeting, and then backed the whole thing onto Smoky Slate card to make the colours pop. Easy peasy!

Jems Blog Hop - Spring is Here!

This month's challenge for the Jems Blog Hop team is to celebrate all things Spring or Easter. I hope you've enjoyed everyone's creations so far, you should have come to me via the lovely Lynn. I went for a Spring themed card, I can pretend that Spring has arrived even if the weather isn't playing ball! I love the combination of Lemon Lime Twist and Powder Pink, it feels very Spring-like, so the Lemon Lime Twist card in the Sale-a-bration Tutti-Frutti card pack was the perfect base!

Sarah's next on the hop, click on the logo below to see what wonderful things she's been up to!
