Happy Birthday Card with Beautiful Day from Stampin' Up!

I spotted this gorgeous card on Pinterest the other day, and immediately knew that I had to have a go at my own version. I've copied the butterfly from Beautiful Day directly, as I loved the colour combination that Hannah used. I've added some Wink of Stella to the Lemon Lime Twist centre to give a hint of sparkle. I chose to mount the Whisper White panel onto Berry Burst card to match the Berry Burst butterfly wings. I've used a different sentiment, but kept the positioning the same, and also used the white embossing powder on Basic Black card. I've used Silver Metallic thread behind the sentiment, and finished off with some black sequins (because you know how much I love adding sequins!).

I hope you like my version, and thank you Hannah for the inspiration!

Supply List: Beautiful Day & Hand Delivered stamp sets; Whisper White, Basic Black & Berry Burst card; Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Tuxedo Black Memento & Versamark ink; Silver Metallic Thread; Metallic Sequin Assortment; White Stampin' Emboss Powder; Wink of Stella.

Birthday Wishes Card with Touches of Texture from Stampin' Up!

I had a go at another new to me technique this weekend, and this lovely card was the result. I'm really pleased with how it turned out, so you'll see a few more cards using this technique in the near future!

I started off by creating a circular template by cutting a circle in a piece of waste card using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. I then secured this to a piece of Whisper White card cut to size using washi tape and used sponge daubers with several colours of ink to create the sponged circle (Mint Macaron, Balmy Blue and Soft Sea Foam). Removing the template left a perfectly coloured circle. I then cut a couple of smaller circles in more waste card, and sponged through those using Craft White ink on top of the coloured circle to create the bokeh effect. Not bad for a first attempt!

Supply List: Touches of Texture & Varied Vases stamp sets; Classic Label Punch; Layering Circles Framelits Dies; Whisper White and Mint Macaron card; Mint Macaron, Balmy Blue, Soft Sea Foam, Tuxedo Black Memento and Craft White inks; Pick a Pattern washi tape; Share What You Love Artisan Pearls; Tranquil Tide Bakers Twine from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.

Congratulations Card with Little Elephant & Neutrals DSP from Stampin' Up!

I'm really enjoying spending time in my craft room at the moment, it's in the attic with a lovely big velux window and a view over the fields. I get the benefit of the gorgeous sunshine as well as a cooling breeze through the window while I'm creating - what more could you ask for?

I went with a similar theme to my last card, using a cut out circle over patterned paper, but I moved the circle to the bottom right corner, and used two layers of patterned paper from the Neutrals DSP pack. I stamped and punched the larger of the two elephants from the Little Elephant stamp set, and stamped and fussy cut two lots of the flowers. I don't know what's going on with me at the moment, I'm really not a fan of fussy cutting, yet I seem to be doing loads of it at the moment! Some of the new stamps just shout to be cut out :)

I tried several different ways to finish off the card, it just felt like it needed something above the circle, and when I scattered the sequins I knew I'd found a winner! I love the way it looks like the elephant is blowing bubbles!

Supply List: Little Elephant Stamp Set & Elephant Builder Punch; Neutrals Designer Series Paper; Classic Label Punch; Highland Heather, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo & Memento Black inks; Metallics Sequin Assortment.

Friendship Card with Stampin' Up! Varied Vases #GDP145

I love the colour combination in this week's Global Design Project Challenge. Mint Macaron is one of my all time favourite colours, I was so happy that Stampin' Up! brought it back as part of this year's colour refresh, and it works really well with Grapefruit Grove and Fresh Fig.

I've seen a few cards recently using the technique of highlighting patterned paper through an aperture, so I thought I'd have a go. I've used some of the stamps from the Varied Vases stamp set to create my own background, using the three colours in the challenge, and I'm really pleased with how well it's turned out!

Supply List: Varied Vases Stamp Set with the Vases Builder Punch; Mint Macaron, Grapefruit Grove, Fresh Fig and Memento Black inks; Mint Macaron, Grapefruit Grove and Whisper White card; Layering Circle Framelits Dies.

Thanks Card: Varied Vases & Balmy Blue

I spotted a gorgeous box on Pinterest by Kerry Timms at Simply Pretty, so I thought I'd CASE with a twist and make a card. I loved the way Kerry used the Lovely Floral embossing folder to create texture behind the stitched circle, but unfortunately I don't own that, so I had to think outside the box! I decided to use the Leaf punch on some vellum cardstock instead, and I love the way it turned out.

I've used the Varied Vases stamp set, Vases Builder, Leaf and Classic Label punches, Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, Basic Gray ink pad, Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White card, and Vellum card.

If you're placing an online order don't forget to use the online code to receive a free gift from me :) Click on the images below to shop in the Stampin' Up! online store, and if you've ever thought about joining the Stampin' Up! Team, July will be the perfect time to do it! SU! are including a free ink pad assortment with every starter kit. Hello Card: Share What You Love & Varied Vases - GDP#143

This week's Global Design Project theme challenge is to celebrate why we love crafting. I get so much joy and satisfaction from being creative, and even more so when I can share my creativity with others - so card making is perfect for me! I love to send unexpected cards, just to say hello, or thank you. Today's card will be one of those. Making it made me smile, and hopefully it will make the recipient smile too :)

I've used the Share What You Love papers, the Varied Vases stamp set and co-ordinating Vases builder punch, Grapefruit Grove card and ink, Whisper White card, Memento Black ink, Classic Label punch, Stitched Shapes framelits dies. The sequins are from the Metallics Sequin assortment  and the thin white twine is from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit. I used a blender pen to pick up some of the Grapefruit Grove ink from the ink pad and colour the centre of the flowers.

If you're based in the UK I'd love to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Click on the images below to visit my online store, or email me at scrappingmojodesigns@gmail.com.

Little Elephant Thank You Card - GDP #142

I'm playing along with Global Design Project #142, which is a sketch challenge. I know I've said it before, but I do love the GDP challenges to kick start my creativity! I had a Stampin' Up! delivery earlier in the week, and managed to find some time today to sort everything out, which turned into a much bigger job when I decided to organise all my cardstock! I've now got each colour in a separately labelled plastic sleeve, all stored in hanging files, so it will be much easier to find the colour I want from now on. The trouble was, that took me so long that I only left myself with a little bit of time to play with my new goodies - so the sketch challenge was perfect!

I've used a new stamp set, Little Elephant, and the matching Elephant Builder punch. I don't normally go for the cute stamp sets, so I really surprised myself by liking this one, but I loved it enough for it to be part of my first order from the new catalogue! I've paired it with the new colour papers, which I think will be really useful - this one is Smoky Slate from the Neutrals collection. I've also used two new colours, Highland Heather and Balmy Blue. I can see myself using Highland Heather a lot, I love a good purple!

I've also used Smoky Slate and Memento Black ink, Pick a Pattern washi tape, Stiched Shapes and Layering Circles Thinlets dies, Classic Label punch and Whisper White card.

I hope you like today's project! If you're thinking of ordering in June, don't forget to use the online code below. I've also still got some annual catalogues, so let me know if you're in the UK and you'd like one.
