All My Favourites!

After over two years of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I've taken the plunge and registered for my very first OnStage event! Every six months SU host a get together for demonstrators in different areas, and the photos and posts from people who have been always look amazing, so I'm very excited that I get to join in the fun at the next one! Demonstrators who are registered for the events also have the opportunity to apply to be Display Stampers - so this post is me throwing my hat in the ring for that, by sharing my three favourite cards, a scrapbook page and two 3D projects. Wish me luck!

'Beach Baby' Scrapbook Layout using Little Twinkle from Stampin' Up!

I scrapped! It's been a while, I haven't been inspired recently, but then the Little Twinkle collection arrived and it was the first thing that I wanted to do! I knew I had the perfect photo to go with the soft colours so I got stuck in, and this is the result. I'm pretty pleased with it :) The photo is of Mojo (who else?!) having fun in the waves on a beach in Pembrokeshire, Wales, where we spent a week in April this year. She absolutely loved spending time on the beach and was constantly in and out of the sea.

It's the first time I've used the Lined Alphabet stamp set too, and I really love it! I think it's going to be a really versatile set.

Supply List: Little Twinkle, Lined Alphabet & Make A Difference Stamp Sets; Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper; Whisper White Cardstock; Grey Granite & Tuxedo Black Ink; Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon; Twinkle Adhesive Backed Sequins.

Happy Birthday Box Card using Colour Your Season from Stampin' Up!

I had a fab time earlier this week at a team training session with my lovely Upline and three other SU Demonstrators. We drank coffee, chatted and crafted, what could be better?! Julie, my upline, showed us how to make these gorgeous box cards using the brand new Colour Your Season stamps and dies. I'm pretty pleased with how mine turned out!

If you love this set as much as I do, don't delay! It's only available during August, and only while stocks last! The good news is that the stamps and die bundle qualify for a Bonus Days coupon, which you can use during September on some of the gorgeous Christmas products in the Autumn/Winter catalogue.

Thanks Card using Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay & Lovely Lipstick: GDP#149

I usually find the Global Design Project challenges great for sparking inspiration, but I have to admit that this colour combo had me stumped at first! Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay and Lovely Lipstick is not a combination I would normally put together, so I really had to dig deep for this one. I only had limited supplies in each colour, I had card and ink in Bermuda Bay and Lovely Lipstick, and the Night of Navy papers from the Neutrals DSP. Once I'd pulled those together I began to form an idea, and I decided to CASE a card I made for a previous GDP challenge - this Hello card is my most pinned card on Pinterest, so I must have been doing something right when I created it! I thought I'd have a go at recreating it in the new colour combination, and this is the result. Hope you like it!

Supply list: Varied Vases Stamp Set & Punch; Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies; Classic Label Punch; Bermuda Bay & Whisper White Cardstock; Neutrals Designer Series Paper; Lovely Lipstick & Tuxedo Black Memento Ink; Metallics Sequins Assortment.

Friendship Card with Love What You Do from Stampin' Up!

I've taken my recent addiction to fussy cutting to a whole new level on this card, by cutting up a sheet of patterned paper! Well, not the whole sheet, I'm not that crazy - just a small corner of it :D

I made a video to show how I put this card together. The video starts with the flowers already cut out - I didn't film the fussy cutting, no one wants to see that! I'll let you into a little secret though, the first part of the video shows how I stamped the grey leaves onto the white card. It looks like I'm stamping pretty randomly, but if you look very carefully you can see that there are small pencil marks on the card. I'd already assembled all the elements that I wanted on the card and had arranged them into the finished design without gluing. I then made small pencil arrows to show where I wanted to stamp the leaf images, and the direction that I wanted them to go in, so that once I'd removed all the elements from the white card I still knew exactly where I needed to stamp.

I hope you like the video - it was a bit long so I've sped things up a bit to make it easier to watch - I don't really stamp that quickly!

Happy Birthday Card featuring a sponged bokeh background

This is the second card from my experimentations with circle templates and sponge daubers! I really had fun getting inky and making these cards, so it certainly won't be the last time that I use this technique. I went for a different colour combination this time, using Powder Pink, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. I had the die cut flower and the punched leaves in a little tub that I keep on my desk to store spare bits in - never throw anything away, you never know when it might come in handy!

The sentiment is from the Hand Delivered stamp set, which is a hostess set. I love the font so this stamp is probably going to get used a lot.

Supply List: Hand Delivered Stamp Set; Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies; Layering Circles Framelits Dies; Basic Black, Whisper White & Rich Razzleberry Card; Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist & Versamark Ink Pads; White Stampin' Emboss Powder; Classic Label Punch; Leaf Punch; Vellum Card.

Graduate Card with the Hand Delivered Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

I felt like doing a bit of colouring this weekend, and since it's the end of the academic year this stamp set seemed perfect! Even though I don't work in education anymore, there's still something really special about this time of year, that feeling of the school year ending and the promise of an endless summer stretching out before you.

I've used the pencils on their own to colour this image, I haven't blended (which you can do with the aquapainters or the blender pens) as I liked the look of the pencil strokes - it seemed to fit the theme of the card. It's unusual for me to create a card with a landscape orientation, and I still can't decide whether I like it or not! What do you think? Are you a portrait card maker like me, or do you like landscape cards? Let me know in the comments!

Supply List: Hand Delivered Stamp Set; Stitched Shapes Thinlits Dies; Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad; Whisper White & Rich Razzleberry Card; Neutrals Designer Series Paper; Share What You Love Artisan Pearls; Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon; Watercolour Pencils; Paperclip from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.
